Harry Tinson is the general manager at HarvestEye and brings expertise in global aftermarket sales from his previous roles in the engineering and transport sectors. His aim is to spot opportunities to accelerate growth and diversify the systems compatibility, to enhance cost and eco-efficiency across food supply chains.
Day-to-day, Harry will be responsible for ensuring that the business continues to innovate its harvest insights technology, speaking with growers to hear their feedback and requirements for harvesting different crops, and expanding its network in domestic and international markets.
Harry has held numerous strategic roles throughout his career. Harry oversaw JCB’s international network of 750 aftermarket dealers, where he gained an initial insight into agri-tech and farming machinery sales, attaining an MBA from Warwick Business School in the process. He later moved within the Bamford group to Wrightbus’ fleet support service offering AllServiceOne, as sales director for parts and services.
André Lourenço
Data Scientist
André Lourenço understands the critical role data analysis plays within the agritech industry, having operated as a data scientist at HarvestEye since its inception more than three years ago. Holding a PhD in Evolutionary Biology, with ten years in academia, André is able to generate key insights for our customers and partners seeking better crop management tools and in-field technology.
Key to his role is the development of machine-learning solutions, as the agricultural sector continues to shift and adapt to the advancement of modern technology. This results in improving the sizing accuracy of the HarvestEye system, and researching potential tools and applications that further increase the value our system holds across the growing industry.
Ben Wells
Assembly & Service Technician
Ben is our Assembly & Service Technician. He recently joined the team with 10 years of experience working as a mechanic for various car dealerships and workshops. Ben brings a range of skills to HarvestEye, including exceptional customer service and mechanical implementation. With a keen interest in growing his career in engineering, Ben has already immersed himself in building machines and collaborating with our operations lead to fulfil order requirements. He is excited to learn, grow, and contribute to the accelerated growth of HarvestEye!
Nikhil Shanker
Engineering Team Lead
Nikhil is our engineering team lead at HarvestEye – combining the principles of hardware and machine learning to deliver the next generation in root crop imaging systems.
A mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Lincoln, Nikhil has spearheaded our product development, helping successfully launch HarvestEye 2.0 to growers across the world.
Joining HarvestEye in 2021 as a field trials assistant, Nikhil has been well placed to understand and capture growers needs – working to the strict timescales and budgets that informs our HarvestEye development process.
Stavya Gahlot
Machine Learning Engineer
Stavya Gahlot is honing her craft at HarvestEye, operating as a graduate machine learning engineer within the team, following the completion of a masters degree in Computer Science at the University of Nottingham.
Utilising her expert knowledge within software development, Stavya was able to play a key role in the build of HarvestEye 2.0, refining essential modules and bug fixes that enabled the technology to launch to market.
Diversity is key to machine learning in the agricultural sector, providing real-time data on Size, count, crop and soil conditions, among other advancements, that positively impact the overall efficiency of growers operations.
Stavya is able to witness first hand how HarvestEye is meeting these types of needs on a day-to-day basis and contribute first hand to the future of the farming industry.
Ross Pywell

Ross is our Sales & Marketing Associate at HarvestEye. Having recently joined the team he is already making a big impact building the HarvestEye brand and orchestrating customer contact campaigns globally.
Ross graduated with a first-class honors in Music Production from Leeds Beckett University and since then has successfully worked on media campaigns for several UK businesses. Ross has brought this experience and creative flair to support the accelerated growth of HarvestEye.
